Career resources for Sales and GTM people

Practical interview and career guidance, written from what actually decides offers. Career paths, role comparisons, pay explainers and career maps all live in the main resource library — this page is the short version you can read before an interview.

Evidence your performance properly

  • Quota, attainment, average deal size and cycle length, in that order.
  • Separate team numbers from your own.
  • Bring one deal you won and one you lost, and what you learned.

Talk about AI credibly

  • Name the task, not the tool: research, sequencing, call summaries, follow-up.
  • Say what you changed as a result of using it.
  • Be honest about where you still do the thinking yourself.

Questions worth asking

  • Who currently hits quota, and why?
  • What does onboarding and enablement actually look like?
  • How is pipeline reviewed and forecast?

Before you resign

  • Get the offer in writing with commission terms included.
  • Understand the ramp and how the first-year plan works.
  • Plan a clean handover; your reputation follows you in Sales.
