Sales Tech Index

The Adroit Sales Tech Index

We recruit the people who have to live with your sales stack, so we keep track of it. This index ranks sales tooling on published evidence — customer counts, users, reviews, traffic, search demand, growth — with every figure sourced and dated. Where we cannot source something, we say so rather than filling the gap.

What this is, and is not

  • An editorial index built from published sources.
  • Not audited market share, and not a vendor directory.
  • No vendor can buy a position. Nothing here is sponsored.
  • 18 rankings designed; none published yet, because the evidence is not there yet.

Two questions

What we rank

Every category is ranked twice, because adoption and momentum answer different questions.

Most widely adopted

Which tools the most sales teams are actually using, judged on sourced adoption evidence: customer counts, users, review volume, integration ecosystems and search demand.

Growth and momentum

Which tools are gaining ground fastest, judged on sourced momentum evidence: revenue and customer growth, traffic and search growth, review growth, hiring and release cadence.

Where a category rarely publishes sourceable customer or revenue growth — sales training providers, for instance — the ranking is presented as highest momentum rather than fastest growing.

Method and limits

How the index is produced

The weightings are published, versioned and deliberately unglamorous.

Most widely adoptedadoption-1.0

Adoption is weighted towards evidence of how many organisations and people genuinely use a tool, with review volume, integration ecosystem and search demand as corroborating signals.

Reviewed at least every 120 days. A ranking that goes past that drops out of the index rather than sitting here looking current.

Growth and momentummomentum-1.0

Momentum is weighted towards rate of change rather than size: revenue and customer growth first, then traffic, search, review and hiring growth, with funding and release cadence as corroboration.

Reviewed at least every 90 days. A ranking that goes past that drops out of the index rather than sitting here looking current.
