Who should we hire next?

Eleven questions about your team, how you sell and what is actually broken. You get the next-hire options your own answers support, what has to be true first, and where the reasoning is thin.

How this behaves

  • No ratios, no benchmarks, no invented certainty.
  • Every reason traces back to an answer you gave.
  • Conflicting answers are named, not smoothed over.
  • If it cannot help, it says what is missing.

Where you are now

The shape of the team today, and how much of the selling still runs through the founders.

Judge it by how predictable revenue feels, not by headcount or funding.

Sales team todayNeeded

Count people who carry a number, not marketing or support.

Founder-led selling

Whether a founder is still the person who closes.

Options worth considering

Not enough to go on yet

These answers do the most work, so the planner will not guess without them:

  • Company stage
  • Sales team today
  • Current bottleneck

Nothing is uploaded and no email address is needed, at any point.

Common questions

What this tool will and will not do

Who should we hire next in our sales team?

It depends on which constraint is actually binding. The planner asks about your stage, team shape, lead volume, deal complexity, bottleneck, management capacity and post-sale pain, then surfaces the roles your own answers support — with the reasons, the dependencies and the reasons it might be wrong.

Does the planner use headcount ratios or benchmarks?

No. There is no credible universal ratio of SDRs to AEs, or reps to managers, and we will not invent one. Every line of rationale traces back to an answer you gave.

What if my answers conflict?

The planner names the conflict rather than averaging it away. Saying pipeline is your bottleneck while inbound is overflowing, for example, points at lead quality rather than lead volume — a different hire entirely.

What if it cannot recommend anything?

Then it says so and lists what is missing. Sometimes the honest output is that the constraint has not been isolated yet, and a hire made now would inherit the ambiguity.

Is anything stored or sent?

Your answers stay in this browser tab so you can move between steps and resume. They are multiple-choice answers about company shape — no names, no salary figures — and nothing reaches us unless you choose to send it.

Decided on the next hire?

Tell us the seat and the constraint behind it. We will be straight with you about how hard it is to fill and what it takes.
